Tracy Fitzmaurice Wins Prestigious Librarian Award

We are thrilled to report that Tracy Fitzmaurice, former Fontana Regional Library Director and Jackson County Public Library Director, has been chosen as one of ten recipients of the 2026 I Love My Librarian Award. Nominated by a large number of community members, she was selected from 1,300 nominees nationwide for her years of dedication, kindness, and inclusivity which have deeply impacted the community.

Tracy will receive a $5,000 cash prize for her personal use and complimentary registration and travel to attend the American Library Association's Annual Conference in Chicago in June.

The award is presented to ten librarians every year and is sponsored by the ALA, the Carnegie Corporation of New York, and the New York Public Library.
