Tracy Fitzmaurice – Regional Director
Tracy has programming and administrative responsibility for the six libraries in the FRL. County librarians report to her. The bylaws of the FRL make this a part-time position for which she is paid a stipend. She advises Macon and Swain counties regarding becoming a two-library regional system. She advises Jackson County about the ramifications of having stand-alone libraries. Tracy Fitzmaurice – Regional Library Board Member
Tracy serves on all the FRL ad hoc committees (six) and is prepared to guide them to legal and logical decisions. She must be present, give reports, and answer questions at the three county library board meetings. Tracy Fitzmaurice – County Librarian
As County Librarian, she is responsible for assuring that business practices and financial systems are in compliance with policies and procedures of the regional library. She is responsible for managing the financial resources of the two member libraries Jackson County.

She attends meetings, gives reports, and answers questions.
Is this too much to ask of one person? She is on six committees, four library boards, advises Macon & Swain counties as they prepare to be a two-county regional system, and advises Jackson County as they prepare to operate two stand-alone libraries.
